Goa Prawn (OR Fish) Curry

Best accompanied with rice. Try to use pungent green chillies, the combination of that with the coconut milk is perfect.


Ingredients:
  • 1 coconut  
  • 1 kodumpulli torn into strips
  • 1/2 kg fish or prawns (deveined and shelled)

Grind into paste the following:
  • 1 tsp Dhania
  • 5 cloves
  • 1 stick cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp methi (fenugreek)
  • 1 tsp Haldi
  • 5 peppercorns
  • 1 tsp rai (mustard seeds)
Instructions:
  1. Make half the coconut into milk, and keep half as a paste
  2. Soak a few strips of kodampulli (or kokum)
  3. In hot oil, fry masala paste
  4. Add coconut milk and the prawns or fish and boil for 15 mins
